Did y’all have fun at the Twitter party?! WOW it was busy! I had a BLAST. Swim Diaper
Applecheeks KNEW you already loved the style of their envelope diapers, so for summer they introduced a MUST HAVE for the heat! A swim diaper! Made with 2 layers of Canadian milled polyester mesh, water can move in and out, but solids? They stay IN! From testimonials on the Facebook page, it sounds as though even the watery breastmilk poo stays put! The swim diaper comes in two beautiful colors, Corsica and Bonfire. If you’re like me and want to collect ALL the colors, you are probably itching to get your hands on them both!
Gentle Cleansing Solution
I touched on this a little at the Twitter party, but just as a refresher, or if you weren’t there, I will sing the glories again! Austin has had a few break outs on the bum from spray solutions. I was reluctant to give Applecheek’s solution a try, but I did, and I’m glad. It didn’t irritate his sensitive skin at all! It has tea tree oil, lavendar, and other gentle natural oils and properties making this the perfect cleansing spray! Use it on bums, hands, and faces!
Storage Sacs
Before I got a storage sac (or wet bag) I just threw my dirty diapers in my bag and guessed which ones were dirty and clean! yuck! If they were really icky I’d find a plastic bag somewhere and use it. But NOT anymore! I have a size 1 storage sac in Periwinkle (remember! big news at the twitter party, Periwinkle will be retired, so get your orders in for this color NOW!) and I LOVE it. It keeps all the stinkies out of the air (and my nose) and compliments my Applecheeks-packed diaper bag. The sacs come in two sizes, size 1 for your daily outings, and size 2 for full-time use! And if you are an Applecheeks convert like me and have NO OTHER diapers to unstuff (YUCK! remember, Applecheeks inserts agitate out of the covers in the wash!) you can just turn the storage sac inside out, dumping the diapers in the washer, and toss it in. Bamboo Cloth Wipes
When I first started cloth diapering I thought that cloth wipes were going a LITTLE bit far. But once I went through all 5 of the disposable wipe boxes I got at my baby shower in like a WEEK I was like “NO WAY JOSE!” Those things are pricey! So I grabbed a couple of packs of baby washclothes at Babies R Us and I was set. When Austin got third place in the Spring Photo Contest on Applecheeks’ Facebook (btw we won first for the summer ;) )I was introduced to PROPER cloth wipes with my prize swag. I never need more than one of these to clean up even the NASTIEST of Austin’s poos, plus they are super soft and have stayed super soft!
Bamboo Washable Nursing Pads
How many times do I have to say how absorbent and super duper soft bamboo is? Well I’ll say it again. Bamboo is soooo absorbent and super duper soft. Perfect for your baby’s butt ORRRRR your lucky boobies! Stop using scratchy disposable nursing pads that you just end up THROWING AWAY. Stop using cotton pads that STILL leak all over your shirt and show under your shirt. Just stop. Applecheeks’ bamboo nursing pads are SUPER DUPER SOFT AND SOOOO ABSORBENT!
